PERUVIAN INDIGENOUS SHAMANIC WISDOM TRADITION
Chakuna has studied indigenous shamanic wisdom and is a part of an ancient spiritual wisdom traditional Peruvian lineage with Don Oscar Miro-Quesada. Oscar Miro-Quesada Solevo is a respected kamasqa curandero and altomisayoq adept from Peru, visionary founder of The Heart of the Healer (THOTH) Alliance, originator of Pachakuti Mesa Tradition cross-cultural shamanism, and co-author (with Bonnie Glass-Coffin, Ph.D.) of Lessons in Courage: Peruvian Shamanic Wisdom for Everyday Life. An internationally acclaimed shamanic teacher, healer and earth honoring ritualist, don Oscar is also OAS Fellow in Ethnopsychology, UN Invited Observer to the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, and Member of the Birth 2012 Welcoming Committee convened by Barbara Marx Hubbard. He has been guiding ethnospiritual apprenticeship expeditions to sacred sites of the world since 1986, with special emphasis on Peru and Bolivia. He is a popular faculty member at educational centers in the USA and abroad, dedicating his life to the revitalization of aboriginal wisdom traditions as a means of restoring sacred trust between humankind and the natural world. REIKI DRUMMING
Chakuna has studied Reiki and Reiki Drumming with Laurelle Shanti Gaia and Michael Arthur Baird in Sedona, AZ. Laurelle has been a student, a teacher, practitioner and facilitator of the healing arts for more than 25 years. She served as a healer in the National Institute of Health’s Glioblastoma Research project. (a 3 year study on the effects distant healing has on the quality of life for patients with this rare form of brain cancer.) She is a Professional Licensed Reiki Master Teacher and Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher with the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). She operates an active Reiki practice, with clients and students in Sedona, AZ. She facilitates Reiki training, as well as Crystal Healing, and Sound Healing programs in Sedona, and worldwide. Laurelle has authored Infinite Spectrum Color Healing Course, Sacred Circles, Be Peace Now, Reiki Crystal Healing and The Book on Karuna Reiki. These books and courses help us further understand and develop our subtle energy system, soul level chakras, and how to harmonize with the Earth. Since 1994 she has served as Director of Teacher Licensing for the ICRT, and Editor of Reiki News Magazine. Michael has been practicing Reiki for 25 years, and has found it to be a powerful tool for healing and spiritual growth. He is a retreat facilitator, practitioner of the healing arts, and a middle eastern drummer. He is a Reiki Master and a Karuna Reiki Master. Michael has developed special drum-making workshops for healers, and created the Reiki Drumming shamanic healing technique. He feels that drumming and Reiki assist him in attuning to his higher self, listening to his Divine guidance, and following his heart. Chakuna has studied with Sue Burton Hidalgo. Sue is listed in Llewellyn Publishing’s “The Complete Book of Psychic Arts” and Bantam Books’ “The 100 Top Psychics in America”. As a visionary she has taught in 38 states and several foreign countries; Sue currently lives in the Detroit area.
